Description

The Cardiothoracic Specialist is responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas within the territory. The sales specialist must establish, build, and maintain customer relations through constant communication in and out of the operating room. The Sales Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining expert knowledge of our Cardiothoracic portfolio and communicating with a team of sales representatives to drive sales within our geography.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives by growing the Cardiothoracic business line for Medwest Associates

  • Represent Medwest Associates, an exclusive Arthrex agency, by working with a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons and healthcare professionals

  • Gain and maintain a high level of knowledge in regards to the Cardiothoracic product line, business objectives, pricing strategies, and sales techniques

  • Train physicians on Arthrex products through educational programs  (i.e., labs and training courses)

  • Conduct Cardiothoracic in-service training programs at hospitals and clinics

  • Establish, develop, and maintain contact with key customers, hospitals, OR Staff, administration, and clinicians

  • Work closely with sales representatives and managers

  • Manage budget and expense related responsibilities

  • Communicate with current and new customer regarding various topics, including but not limited to product updates, changes, and educational programs

  • Adhering to company compliance, HIPPA, ethics, and policies and procedures

  • Attend and participate in professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required

Relationships and Roles:

  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all agency and Arthrex employees.

  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

  • Support compliance and the principles of responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information; protecting the assets of the organization; acting with ethics and integrity; reporting noncompliance; and adhering to applicable federal, state & local laws and regulations, accreditation & licenser requirements, and Company policies & procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum of 2 years of sales success or clinic experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery

  • Demonstrated ability to relate to customers within the surgical healthcare industry. Cardiothoracic experience is preferred but not required

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Must be experienced in hosting labs and skills workshops

  • Excellent presentations skills; must be able to present to 10 or more people in complex negotiations

  • Requires the ability to meet deadlines, frequent assignment changes, periodic heavy workload, rapidly changing technology, and dynamic business growth
