Medwest Associates is seeking an experienced Spine and Biologics Specialist to join our fast-paced team in the Chicagoland area. The Sales Representative will promote innovative Spinal and Biologic products manufactured by Arthrex. Candidates should have at least 5 years experience calling on Neuro and Orthopedic spine surgeons in the operating room.

The Spine Specialist is responsible for selling assigned Arthrex Spinal and Biologic products and representing Medwest Associates and Arthrex in accordance with compliance and policies. The Sales Representative must establish, build, and maintain customer relations through constant communications and in-person appointments with Neuro and Orthopedic spine surgeons in and out of the operating room. This position is specifically responsible for maintaining expert knowledge of our market-leading product portfolio and will be responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas within their assigned territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent Medwest Associates, an exclusive distributor authorized to sell Arthrex products

  • Work with a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons and healthcare professionals. Arthrex is a world-class leader in the orthopedic industry

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding sales quotas.

  • Grow exposure with accounts and surgeons to the Arthrex portfolio of current and future products

  • Increase territory results by building and maintaining strong business relationships, and by developing and implementing sales strategies. Cultivate and maintain an excellent rapport with clients to sustain longstanding relationships

  • Communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding a variety of topics, including product updates, changes to product portfolios, and educational programs.

  • Cross-sell additional products or manage new product introductions as they become available.

  • Maintain training in sales skills, product features, and other critical business training requirements and applications.

  • Participate in and attend sales meetings, training programs, conventions, trade shows and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as needed.

  • Ensure that products/instruments are prepared and organized for surgical cases, including any necessary educational documents or videos.

  • Meet vendor credentialing requirements.

  • Support compliance and the principles of responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information; protecting the assets of the organization; acting with ethics and integrity; reporting non-compliance; and adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and Company policies and procedures.

  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5-10 years demonstrated sales success of Spinal and Biologic products to Neuro, Spine, Orthopedic and Sports Medicine market.

  • Experience with Navigation, Robotics, and other advanced technology.

  • Experience with tubular/MIS approaches and percutaneous fixation techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Must be experienced in hosting labs and skills workshops

  • Excellent presentations skills; must be able to present to 10 or more people in complex negotiations

  • Requires the ability to meet deadlines, frequent assignment changes, periodic heavy workload, rapidly changing technology, and dynamic business growth
